About Tom

Welcome to Tom’s Theology Blog. I’m Tom Dallis, an independent scholar, Christian apologist, writer, and theologian commented to making faith intellectually and spiritually credible in today’s world.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Cedarville University, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate in Theology from Immanuel Theological Seminary. I have also completed postgraduate studies in Jewish culture and context through the Israel Bible Center, postgraduate research in Shroud Studies through the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, and additional postgraduate studies through Dallas Theological Seminary. I am currently a Fellow in the C. S. Lewis Institute Fellowship Program and a member of Othonia.

For more than twenty five years, I worked as a documentary filmmaker, producing dozens of faith based films distributed through Vision Video and Gateway Films. My work received several awards and was broadcast internationally, including on TBN and Catholic TV. IMDb once listed me among the top 100 Christian filmmakers.

Today, my work focuses on researching, writing, and defending the Christian faith through theology, history, apologetics, and Shroud studies. My upcoming book, Mere Christianity for the Digital Age: Can Faith Survive the Internet?, brings timeless Christian truths into dialogue with today’s online skepticism, social media culture, and digital doubt.

This blog brings together decades of study, ministry, research, and engagement with skeptics. My goal is to provide thoughtful resources that strengthen believers, challenge assumptions, and encourage honest seekers to explore the historical and intellectual foundations of Christianity.

Kathy and I live in Morrow, Ohio, with our pets and a backyard that opens to a nature preserve. Our life together is full of grace, laughter, and the quiet beauty of ordinary days. We are active members of LifeHouse Church in Lebanon, Ohio.

Whether you’re a fellow believer, a curious skeptic, or somewhere in between—I’m glad you’re here.
