God’s Word
The Bible is the ultimate authority for truth and the foundation for all understanding.
– John MacArthur
The sacred Scriptures form the most remarkable book the world as ever seen. They are of high antiquity. They contain a record of events of the deepest interest. The history of their influence is the history of civilization. the wisest and best of mankind have borne witness to their power as an instrument of enlightenment and of holiness; and having been prepared by men who ‘speak from God, being moved by the Holy Ghost.’ to reveal ‘the only true God and Him Whom He did send, even Jesus Christ,’ they have on this ground the strongest claims upon our attentive and reverential regard.
– Joseph Angus and Samuel Green
“All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness”

“And for this reason we also thank God without ceasing that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.”
2 Thessalonians 2:13 (LSB)
Sacred Scripture is the inspired word of God, the collection of sacred books that hand on the truth of Revelation in written form.
– Monsignor J. Brian Bransfield
Let the man who would hear God speak read Holy Scripture.
The Scriptures are indeed perfect, since they were spoken by the word of God [Christ] and His Spirit; but we, inasmuch as we are inferior to, and later in existence than, the Word of God and His Spirit, are on that very account destitute of the knowledge of His mysteries.
– Irenaeus

Evidences for these claims:
- Scripture still exists, despite the attempts of many to destroy it, and it is the most attested document in all of antiquity and world history.
- Historical evidence supports the claims of Scripture.
- Geographical evidence supports the claims of Scripture showing the writers were actually there and not making it up.
- Archaeological evidence supports the claims of Scripture.
- Although not a book on science, it has scientific truths within in; such as the universe had a beginning (Genesis 1:1), the universe is fine-tuned for its existence (Colossians 1:17), the earth is round and hangs on nothing (Isaiah 40:22; Job 26:7), and washing hands is healthy (Leviticus 15:13) to name a few. These may seem obvious today but in antiquity these were unknown apart from Scripture.
- Recent finds, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, testify to the tenacity of the text of Scripture.
- The thread of redemption which run through all of Scripture.
- Fulfilled prophecy attest to the trustworthiness of Scripture.
- The Scriptures still changes lives and speaks to God’s children.
