You can read it yourself, follow along, or just listen.
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”
Isaiah 40:8
After learning that the Bible was written long ago, some Bible Explorers have asked an important question.
How do we know the Bible we read today is the same Bible people read back then?
That is a smart question.
After all, the Bible was written thousands of years ago.
Could it have been changed?
Could people have added things or taken things away?
God knew people would wonder about that.

So He made sure His Word was carefully protected.
The Bible was copied with great care.
Before printing presses existed, every Bible had to be copied by hand.
That sounds risky, but the people who copied Scripture were extremely careful.
They checked their work again and again.
Some even counted letters and words to make sure nothing was missing.
If a mistake was found, the page was thrown away.
They believed God’s Word was too important to change.
Many copies were made.
The Bible was not kept in one place.
It was copied and spread across many lands and languages.
This is important because if someone tried to change it, the other copies would show the difference.
When scholars compare ancient manuscripts today, they find something amazing.
They all tell the same message.
The story of God, sin, salvation, and Jesus remains the same.

God watched over His Word.
People protected the Bible, but God was the one truly guarding it.
Generation after generation, God made sure His Word was not lost.
Empires rose and fell.
Kings came and went.
Languages changed.
But the Bible remained.
Even when people tried to destroy it, God’s Word survived.
Today, we can read the Bible in our own language.
We do not need to learn ancient languages to know God.
That is a gift.
God wanted His Word to be read, understood, and shared.
That is why the Bible has been translated carefully into many languages around the world.
The Bible you hold is trustworthy.
It is not a changed story.
It is not a rewritten message.
It is the same truth passed down with care.
God wanted every generation to know Him.
And He made sure His Word reached us.
That is why we can trust the Bible we read today.
Because God keeps His Word safe.

Think About It
• Why do you think God wanted His Word to last for all generations?
• How does knowing the Bible was carefully copied help you trust it?
• Why do you think God wants people everywhere to read His Word?
• How would the world be different if God’s Word had been lost?
• What does it tell you about God that He protects His promises?
