Basic Theology

Basic theology, what C.S. Lewis called “Mere Christianity,” are core teachings that all Christians have in common and are doctrines which unite believers worldwide and across all of Church history. When you click on each block you will find both Scripture quotations, as well as quotes from various Christian theologians and teachers from a wide range of denominational backgrounds.

Some of the information is based on Emery H. Bancroft’s Elemental Theology. The notes and much of the organization and passages were originally done by Dr. Mead C. Armstrong. Dr. Armstrong was not only my professor, but also my pastor and friend.
